Web Design Singapore: All You Need To Know About Page Content SEO - Guide 005
Your page content is an important part of your business web design. Search engine algorithms (an automated process whereby search engines process the information to determine how you rank for keywords and keyword search phrases) refer to content from your web pages. Here are some basic items that help with keyword ranking:
Many many other considerations which will be discussed in future web design guide topics. I have provided links to wix.com articles that touch on these other topics too.
This guide will touch on your web page content. Here is how I advise you to plan and decide on your web page content and how you should go about for this process of your business web design.
Important Note:
Never overuse your keywords in sentences and paragraphs throughout the whole page content, search engines can consider this as spam and penalise you by weakening your keyword ranking. As a general rule, you may use a keyword phrase once every 100 words. This is only an indicative rule of thumb.
As long the keyword phrases appear naturally, for a person to read naturally, it is fine!
Tip:
For your web design, if you want to to have more keyword phrases added to your page, add more content! Search engines love content as it usually means that you website has more information for that particular keyword phrase which provides more value to the reader.
KEEP WEB PAGE CONTENT SIMPLE - WEB DESIGN
Unless you are from a niche market and targeting a specific group, keep your words simple and make it easy to read.
An easy to read website will have less bounce rates as most people will understand what is being mentioned and if it is what they have been looking for will more on to other pages in your website to find out more, which means lower website bounce rate (explained briefly in web design guide 003) and better web page ranking for your keywords.
WEB PAGE PARAGRAPHS
Keep a paragraph between 2 (long sentences) to 4 (short sentences).
Long paragraphs tend to make the eyes weary and may cause the person reading it to lose interest and close your web page!
Preferably, add a related image for each topic, subject matter, service or product. Images help provide colourful and attractive breaks in between sentences for the reader and keeps them engaged to your content and web page.
Be sure to use related, attractive and quality images. Wix.com provides an awesome library of images, both free and paid ones, that you may browse, select a related image and upload to your web page.
WEB PAGE DIVIDERS - WEB DESIGN
For your business web design, after every topic, subject matter, service or product, remember to separate them with dividers (horizontal or vertical lines across, depending on your web page layout).
This helps to keep your business web page content neat and in an order that is easy for your web page visitor to browse through.
Typically, before a website visitor decides to get engaged with your web page and start reading thoroughly and for deciding if the web page content is relevant to what he or she is looking for, they would first scroll through and look at the subject and paragraph headers quickly.
In conclusion, for your web design, keep you web page content simple, relevant, neat and add images and videos to make them more attractive and engaging!
